Trek through small villages and spectacular scenery around Kalaw, is a charming hill town that serves as a starting point for many treks in the Shan hills. You will have a unique opportunity to visit the Gokteik Viaduct. This historical bridge was the largest railway trestle in the world upon its completion in 1901 and it is the highest bridge in Myanmar.
Day 1- We will pick you up by our local tour guide at 6:30 AM at your hotel lobby and take you to have a Shan Traditional breakfast at a good restaurant. Heading to Nawng Taw Rock Cave Pagoda, photostop at a village farm on the way before proceeding to Sin Shaw Natural Cave. This trek will takes you down the many tiers of Nam Ngo waterfall. After taking a short rest, trek further down to level 12 at the bottom of the waterfall, where swim, boat and relax around 2hours. We will serve the Shan dinner at a nice restaurant. After dinner , will transfer back to hotel for overnight.
Day 2- After breakfast, start the visit to Taung Kham Village where can experience how villagers go about their daily life. Heading to a beautiful forest, with two natural lakes. Proceed to the peanut oil factory, where can see the original cottage methods of extracting the oil are produced using hydro power. After lunch, heading to the Gokteik Viaduct to take the beautiful picture of your trip memories. After watching sunset over the bridge, we will serve you dinner at a good restaurant. After having dinner, we will drop you off at your hotel for your stay overnight in Nawng Hkio.
